Every hound needs a pack.
Before Zero, my life looked fine from the outside. I worked hard and kept moving forward. But I wasn’t really present in my own life. I settled for things—relationships, routines, even the way I treated myself—because I didn’t believe I deserved more. I didn’t push myself to be better because, deep down, I wasn’t sure I was worth the effort.
Then Zero came into my life. A tiny blue heeler from Texas who got carsick all over the front seat the second we hit the road home. He was relentless, stubborn, and full of energy—a dog who didn’t just want adventure but demanded it. And in ways I never expected, he turned everything upside down.
With Zero, I started to move. At first, it was just to keep up with him—morning walks, hikes, runs along the beach. But somewhere along the way, I stopped doing it for him and started doing it with him. I learned to care for my body, to push myself, to show up. I stopped accepting “good enough” and started wanting more—not just for me, but for me.
And then there was the way he looked at me. Like I was someone worth following, worth trusting, worth loving. And eventually, I started believing it too.
Zero didn’t just change my routines. He changed the way I saw myself. He taught me that I deserved more—that I deserved to take up space, to take care of myself, to chase the life I actually wanted.
That’s what The Hounds is about. It’s not just a brand or a business. It’s about that shift—the before and after. It’s about the dogs who change our lives and the people we become because of them.
If you’ve ever had a dog that made you better, that made you see the world differently, then you know exactly what I mean. And if you haven’t yet? Well, maybe that’s why you’re here.
Welcome to The Hounds. Let’s chase the next adventure—together.
